With 80 industry partners hosting hands-on experiences for students, a curated lineup of presentations from leading local professionals, and a host of opportunities to connect, engage and explore, the Serpentine Jarrahdale Career and Enterprise Expo’s School Day has been designed to help young people explore the diverse range of career pathways available to them.
The Schools Day is free to attend for all schools in the region with the program designed for year 9-12 students. Each school will be given a 90 minute time slot for their students to explore all that the Expo has to offer.
What to expect
During the expo, students will have the opportunity to:
- hear from young professionals and industry leaders as they share their career experience and advice via panel discussions and keynote speeches
- interact with a selection of industry partners showcasing some of the emerging technologies they work with in their workplace
- participate in masterclasses designed to help students build their skills as young professionals, and in their chosen careers.
Registrations are now open for educators looking to bring their students to the expo. Places will be delegated to schools on a first come, first served basis.

About the expo
The Serpentine Jarrahdale Career And Enterprise Expo has been designed as an opportunity for people from across the local community to connect with leading local employers as they explore the opportunities available to them in the workforce, and develop the skills required to pursue a career in their chosen field.
The Expo will see students and the broader community coming together to learn, connect and share with employers looking to build their workforce.
Guests will be able to get hands-on with a range of emerging technologies, hear from local leaders in their field, participate in masterclasses to build their skills, and network with employers looking to recruit.
With support from Byford Secondary College, The Shire Of Serpentine Jarrahdale, and industry leaders such as Alcoa, Smart Stream Technologies, Wormall Civil, Bendigo Bank and the Peel Chamber Of Commerce, this is an event not to be missed.
