West Australian Marine Science Institution (WAMSI) has joined with the Australian Marine Sciences Association (AMSA) to organise a breakfast event for World Oceans Day.
On Wednesday 4 June, starting at 7:30am at Scarboro Surf Lifesaving Club hear from a series of speakers giving 1-minute presentations. This ‘marine snapchat’ format, tried and tested by AMSA, means you get to hear about a lot of marine science research in an accessible, exciting way.
The breakfast event includes:
- Coffee/tea and cinnamon scrolls on arrival
- Local sea shanty band – The Lost Quays
- Marine style snapchat science talks
- Beach clean-up
- Ocean swim for the brave
- Door prizes
This event is open to anyone who would like to celebrate World Oceans Day.
